The Event: 

Auchengillan Jamboree 2009 is an International camp for members of the Scout and Guide movements. We aim to build on the success of AJ03 by bringing young people together from all over the world for a week of fun, friendship and outdoor activities.

There will be Hill Walking, Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Team Sports, Trips, Hover Crafting, Swimming, Extreme Survival, Mountain Bivouacking, Crafts, Individual Sports, Para Drop, Quad Biking, Mountain Biking, Roller Hockey, Orienteering, Geo-Caching, Land Yachting, Go Karts, Video Making, Backwoods, Abseiling, Grass Sledging, Crate Climbing, Shooting, Pioneering, Karaoke, Discos, Gunge Tank, Parties, Ceilidh, Inflatables, Campfires, Ariel Runways, 24Hr Expeditions, Explorer Trek, Abseiling, Archery, Circus Skills, Fencing, Gyro Karts to name just a few

The Date: 

1 – 8 August 2009. Any groups wishing to arrive or depart from Auchengillan Outdoor Centre earlier or later will need to make arrangements directly with the Centre.

Every February, Lapwing Lodge runs an incredibly popular Young Leaders Training Weekend and it is, without question, one of the best in the UK and not to be missed!The key information is below, and there are links to all the paperwork.  

If you want to know more just post your questions on the Forum and one of the organising team will get the answer to you. 

 

The weekend is always popular so make sure you sign up early if you wish to attend.

Windsor 2009 - Be Part of It!!

 Every April, Queen's Scouts from around the UK have the opportunity to take part in the St George's Day parade at Windsor castle. It is a fantastic day that should not be missed!

Des Harris, who organises and leads the parade, is looking for people to be in the colour party, lead the sections of Queen's Scouts or to prepare and lead the service in St Georges chapel.

He is scouring the country looking for suitable volunteers and we hope you may be some of them!  More info about all of these roles can be found by clicking on the links below:
